Workshops

The Workshops are free of charge, but registration is required; registration for the main conference includes an option to enrol for a workshop. If you wish to attend a specific workshop only, please contact the respective organizers (see Workshops for further information), indicating your name and degree, your affiliation (including address and phone number), and your profession or subject of study.

Social Events

Registration for the main conference also includes options to enrol for the Welcome Reception, the Social Event (guided tours) and the Conference Dinner. For all events, registration is required. On-site registration is not possible.

  • The Welcome Reception is free of charge.
  • The Social Event (guided tour) is free of charge, but the number of participants is limited to 120!
  • The costs for the Conference Dinner (including a three course flying buffet and table water) are EUR 30, and the number of participants is limited to 140!

Registration Desk

On Sunday, the registration desk will be open all day long from 9.30am, also during the welcome reception. The other days, the registration desk will open at 8am.

Travel Grants (deadline exhausted)

We are pleased to announce a limited number of travel grants for the German Conference on Bioinformatics 2014 at Bielefeld University, Germany, funded by the DECHEMA Fachgruppe Bioinformatik.

In your application, please answer the following questions:

 * Why do you need financial support?
 * What is your status? Graduate or PhD student, postdoc? Employee, scholar, none?
 * Are you an author/co-author of a paper/poster and what is your contribution to it?
 * What are the expected costs? (Registration fee, travel, hotel, sum)

The deadline to submit a travel grant application is August 10.
Notifications will be sent by August 18.
